Identifying a Vintage 14k Gold Ring with TCJ1 Marking - Expert Analysis

Question
Hello.
Thank you in advance for any help and direction you can give me.
My parents recently gave me a ring of my grandmothers that is quite unusual. All I know is that she purchased it herself sometime between 1940 and 1970. (very vague info)
It is a 14k gold band (it has  14k engraved on the inside). It also has tcj1 engraved on the band as well.

The stones are incredibly high set, about 1/2 inch high. Where there is a circle of whitegold/platinum with 7 equally sized diamonds in a flower cluster- 6 around and one in the middle. Each diamond is individualy set into this cluster.
I plan on taking it to a jeweler to be resized and appraised but I would like some information before I go.
Please let me know if you need any further information.
Thank you again.

Answer
Hello Michele and thank you for your inquiry. Your ring sounds very pretty. I have not been able to locate any information on the TCJ1, but it is most likely the manufacturer and design #. There is nothing else I can tell you without a good visual or hands on examination which is what an appraiser will be able to tell you. You might want to have it appraised by an estate jewelry appraiser and then take it to a jeweler for resizing. That way, you'll have the appraisal before releasing the ring for resize or repair. Hope this helps and enjoy your ring.
