Ring
Mr. DeMello,
I purchased a ring on eBay that was listed as a vintage Russian 13mm alexandrite (I'm sure it's synthetic) in 14K gold. The hallmark is stamped on the outside of the band and includes a z, followed by a right-facing man's profile, followed by the number 56.
I'd like any information that you can provide regarding the ring's age, history, etc. I'm also interested in the cut - it's very unusual. It is round, but almost appears to have been set upside down.

Evaluations need to be done in person. I am able to answer general questions. The hallmark may be Russian or from the UK however Im not familliar with the manufacturer.
