QuestionI told my fiance not to give me a diamond as I was horrified after watching the movie Blood Diamond and I realized how unethical they were. Now I have a sapphire engagement ring and was wondering if you might know where sapphires come from, are they any better than diamonds or is the gem trade generally unethical? Thanks.

produced beautiful sapphires,,Do you know about synthetic diamonds...they are called moisenite..
regardless of what jewelers ay..they can not be detected by just eye sight and require
a special tool to tell the difference..there color and brightness are equal and the cost is %110 to 20% the cost of the same size diamond...very good your are conscious of the diamond situation..
