Authenticity of 14K Gold & Diamond Bracelet: A Closer Look
QuestionI recently purchased a diamond tennis bracelet from an estate sale. They had informed it was 14k and 1.5 ct diamonds. It is absolutely gorgeous and was almost skeptical that the diamonds weren't real as they were so eye clean. My neighbor had a diamond tester and I tested them and they turned out to be real. I'm not able to find any marking for the gold. The only markings I am able to find on the bracelet are MGM on the clasp and a jewelers trademark that I am not able to clearly make out. Do you know what MGM stands for?
Thanks,
Kari
AnswerKari,
Make sure the diamond tester your neighbor had checks for moisanite as well as cubic zirconia. Moisanite can pass through a diamond tester that doesn't test for it.
The MGM is the hallmark from the jeweler making or selling the piece however there are millions of these. I dont know this one.
Im sorry I couldn't be of more help
