Is My Diamond Too White? Understanding Diamond Color & Enhancement

Question
I recently purchased a 2 carat diamond ring online but the diamond is too white, looks like the color of a cloud. I have a diamond tester and it reads that it is a diamond. I wanted to know if this diamond can be enhanced. To take the white color look out of it. If so, is it expensive to do and who can do it if possible.

Sounds like you bought a "BURNT" diamond. This is when too much heat is applied to the stone when working on the jewelry it is set in. A shield of white will encase the diamond and needs to be sent to a diamond cutter to repolish it, if that in fact is the case, it can also be that the diamond has a white cloud in the center and reflects then there is nothing we can do, if you can send it back do this as its not worth it unless you got a super deal
all the best
