Sterling Silver Frog Ring with Hidden Figure & Hallmark - Inquiry

i recently purchased this sterling silver frog ring. what makes it unique is that inside the frog is a man. also there is what they call a "hallmark" of some sort. looks like a cross of some kind inside i box. please if you have any information on something like this would love to know. thanking you ahead.

What a great ring! The most famous 'frog ring' I know of was the frog ring made for Mrs. Wallace Simpson and given to her by the ex-king of England. I don't think it had a man inside though. The silver ring you have may be a tribute or made at the time of the Simpson ring. I am not farmiliar with the hallmark you described but you could look it up in the "List of Hallmarks" you can find in many large public libraries in the States or in Europe.
