Valuing a 14kt Gold Ring with Unique Markings - Expert Advice

Question
i recently inherited a ring and no matter where i look i can not find it. it says in the inside of the band 0-heart lock 14k or something like that...I'm not sure if its a zero or an 8. it is 2 seperate rings that lock together to make one. it also has a 20 on the inside band but nothing next to it. I'm not interested in selling but i would like to know how much a ring like this is worth. Thank you so much. please answer back

Answer
Hi Nola,

To make it easy, just get the ring weighed. Gold is at $1,345/oz for 24k pure gold so 14k which is 58.5% pure is $786.83 per troy oz. or $28.10 per gram. That will give you the gold value. Since I have not seen this piece that is all I can go by.
Thanks

Peter
