Decoding Ring Markings: Understanding Your Gold & Design

Question

ring
I have a white gold ring with several small stones, but my question is about the markings on the inside. Its a c inside of a circle then 10k then F and beside the "f" is either a 6 or G or a triangleof some sort.. Its really hard to tell but I was just wondering if you could help.

Answer
Hello Melissa and thank you for your inquiry. The c in a circle on your ring means that your ring design was copyrighted by the designer or manufacturer. The 10K means that it is 10K gold. The other letters may be the manufacturers or designers mark. I couldn't make it out very well from the photo but hope this helps.  In order to verify your ring is gold, you should have it tested by a jeweler or gemologist. Enjoy your ring !
