Identifying Your Gold Claddagh Ring: History & Age

Question
I have a gold Claddagh ring that belonged to my late mother, and possibly my grandmother before her depending on year of manufacture. The hallmark is BBROS, a crown, 375, a Shield, and a 0.
I would be so grateful if you could tell me anything about this ring but, especially the approximate year it was made. I'm not concerned about the value. Thank you.

Answer
Hello Pat and thank you for your inquiry. The ring you have is probably British - manufacturer B Bros I haven't located yet - possibly Berker Brothers (still in business and have a site online)  and the 375 is for 9k gold.  I've listed a site below that can give you a start in researching the hallmark, and if I come up with anything else, I will let you know. Just click on the link or copy and paste the url into your browser address field.

Good luck and enjoy your ring !
