Creating a Romantic & Memorable Wedding Night: Tips & Ideas

I hope that you can help me. I am planning my wedding night and I want it to be special. I was thinking of making my husband leave the room while I slipped into something that I got at my lingerie party. I was wanting to put rose petals on the bed in the shape of a heart, put soft music on, maybe dance a little bit when he gets back, have the lights on dim, but I am clueless as what else to make him remember that night and make it magical, hopefully paving the way for a wonderful marriage. I am getting married in July but I wanted to plan this night now. We are having champagne delivered along with strawberries to our room that night so is there anything that you might could help me with that would be romantic, sensual, and great for a first night as a married couple? I am so confused.

Dear Ashley-

All the you mentioned sounds great. Some other ideas are: write him a short poem and read it to him, put on your favorite song and sing and dance to it for him, give him a foot and shoulder massage (guys really like this). Send him on a treasure hunt in the hotel room with the strawberries and champagne as the surprise.

This is one night of many- don't pressure yourself (or him) too much. Often planning for that one moment so much -it can be "overkill" and full of stress and disappointing if something happens to go wrong. Relax, be honest and loving. And I suggest you "surprise" him again on the second night too!
