Understanding Negative Pregnancy Tests After Clomid & Irregular Periods

Question
I am 30 yrs old. I have four children. The first day of my last period was Nov. 10.
I took clomid (150mg) day 5-9 of my cycle. It is 33 days since my last period (they normally come every 26 - 30 days) and I have NEVER missed a period on or off clomid, I just don't ovulate. I took a pregnancy test today - negative. Is this too early to have a positive test? Or do you think I am skipping my period this month? Thank you. Shelley

Answer
If you took Clomid on cycle day 5,6,7,8, and 9, you should have o9vulated on cycle day #14. If you did become pregnant at that time, a pregnancy test will show a positive result 14-21 days later. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after you miss your next period.  By now a pregnancy test should have been accurate. You can repeat the test in a few days to be sure.
