AnswerHi Annie
It's not unusual to experience irregular bleeding after miscarriage. It can take up to 6wks for bleeding to settle down, but I am a little concerned that your bleeding gets heavier after spotting, it could be that you have some retained tissue from your miscarriage.
If you have cramping and/or unusual smelling discharge then please see your doctor. If you are just bleeding with no other problems & you feel well, I would see how you go for the next few days.
I'd recommend seeing your doctor if you are still bleeding by friday, just so you can be checked over.
They may offer you a scan to see if you have any retained tissue. If you have, they will either moniter you or offer you a small surgical procedure to remove it.
I wish I could tell you when it'll settle, but everyones different. I will say that they recommend you wait until you have had at least 1 period (don't count this bleed as it sounds like you're still having your miscarriage bleed) or ideally 3 periods.
This is to reduce the chance of recurrent miscarriage as it gives your body time to heal.
I hope this has helped, please come back if you have any further questions.
kindest regards
Sarah
