Understanding Bleeding After a Miscarriage: What to Expect

I went to the hospital June 9th with light bleeding at 6 weeks pregnant.  Hcg tests were done, indicating a miscarriage (highest hcg reading as 1200 mmol/l). I bled for 8 days and spotted for 13 more (ended June 29th). Blood test on June 23rd indicated hcg levels were 14 mmol/l.  I went yesterday for follow up but results are not in yet. Today I started what seems like my period, but I thought it would be 4-6ish weeks from the time my hcg levels are 0.  Could it be my period, or is it still from my miscarriage?

I am really sorry to read about your recent miscarriage.

Every woman is different, and it could be your period. When I had my 2nd MC I had my period exactly 28 days later, I know some women how wait for 8-12 weeks before they had their first period. Infact my first MMC was many months before I bled again. After a MC it isnt unusal to experience irregular bleeding, and it may be that you will bleed again in a few weeks, or go 6 weeks without any more. I wouuld just keep a check of the dates you bleed and over the coming months it will form a regular cycle.
