Swollen Lip: Causes, Symptoms & Home Remedies
QuestionMy husband's lower lip has swollen but just the one side while sleeping. He has no pain says it just feels sort of numb. What is it and what can he take? He hasnt eaten or drunk anything in the last 4 hours.
AnswerLip swelling, assuming someone didn't punch him, is most likely an allergic reaction to something, or the beginnings of an infection, like a cold sore. Putting an ice pack on it and trying a little benadryl will be helpful. Also, if he is on a blood pressure medicine in the class of "ACE Inhibitors"... angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, then he must stop them immediately.. this can progress to a bad bad dangerous allergic reaction.
Hope this helps...
