Leg Hematoma After Injury: Symptoms, Causes & Treatment Options

I have a leg injury from nearly 3 yrs ago. A log hit my leg & created a hemotama apprx 3 x 5 on the inside edge of shin bone. xrays showed no fractures.. My Dr. tried to drain but not till 2 wks after injury. I suffer numbess in foot, foot drop, hip problems & pain quite intense anywhere up my leg. Today in outer calf with a swelling feeling under the instep.. I live with pain each day. My ? is what can be done & what is the term affect of this. Bruising is still present & the hematoma is visible by sight & feel.

Not much can be done at this late stage. Some patients have improved with nutrient therapy such as omega-3 fish oil 4 times a day and B-100 b complex 4 times a day for a year but you would need to check with your doctors to be sure it would be OK with them.
