Blackening Under Acrylic Nails: Causes & Removal - Well Water Issue

Have had acrylic nails applied (french manicure style) and went to our lake home where there is well water. My friend also has acrylic nails with french manicure style and both of us are experiencing blackening under our nails after four days there. What do we do to remove it? Secondly what can I do to prevent it happening again? Needless to say it is rather troubling when we go the lake frequently. :-(

It is hard to tell what the problem is without looking at the nails, but it'smost likely caused by lifting. Probably something is trapped inside the lifted part or there is bacterial growth happening. I would recomend that you visit your nail technician for her to acess your nails. Again, as always, i recomend that you go to a qualified tech with good training and good sanitation procedures.
