Acrylic Nails & Gel Overlay: Safe & Effective? | [Your Brand/Website]

Are there any issues with having acrylic nails and putting a coat/layer of gel on top?  Is it okay to mix the two products?  One stylist says she does not like to do, the other says there is no problem with doing that...Thanks!

Many technicians apply acrylic, then UV Sealant over top of it to maintain a permanent shine finish.  There is absolutely no problem with this.  In fact, the MAJORITY of technicians using acrylic do it.
If a technician doesn't, it's simply a matter of preference.

Mind you, she may not want the trouble and expense of the UV Lamp required for UV Sealant.
