Acrylic & Gel Nails: Troubleshooting Smudged UV Gel Application

This is the first time I had the UV gel applied over my acrylics.  After coming home I noticed several of the nails looked smutched.  Is there anything I can do at home (apply a top coat) or should I just go back and have them fix them?

It sounds more like you had a UV top coat and not a gel applied. Gel does not smudge.
Go back and have them redo your nails and tell them that you want true gels. There really is no need to have gel over acrylic unless you are going to one of those places that are telling clients they have gel and it is not.
Will they understand what you want?
