Acrylic Nails & Pregnancy: Is It Safe?

Is it ok to get your nails done with acrylic while you are pregnant?  Please advise.  Thank you

First of all thank you for your concern about your( or someone else's) baby.

According to scientific studies it is ok to have your nails done with acrylics during pregnancy. The liquid and powder mixed together will not penetrate your nail plate and thus will not make it into your bloodstream. Always make sure the products does not come overly into contact with your skin, this means do not submerge your fingers which is already hard to do and make sure you have a certified technician.
