Acrylic Nails & Nail Health: Are Your Nails Long Enough?

I am a "die hard" nail biter, have been all my life, and I was considering have acrylic nails done this weekend, but my natural nails are VERY short, to the point that most people would say they are in the "quick", my question....how long do your natural nails have to be to get acrylic nails applied?

I just wanted you to know, that acrylic doesn't ruin your nails, a bad technician does. At no point while getting your nails done, should it hurt. No damage should be done to your nails.
