Understanding Gel on Acrylic Nails: A Beginner's Guide

I have never had my nails done before and would like to have them done. I friend told me to have gel on all acrylic nails. I am not sure what that is or what I need to do to me nails before I go and have then done.

You don't need to have anything done to your nails, before getting enhancements applied.
However, you should inform yourself about the different systems available, how they are applied, and watch out for NSS (Non Standard Salons) and MMA (toxic acrylic that some places use).
