QuestionQUESTION: My finger and toe nails have a yellow discoloration to them. It almost resembles yellow teeth due to smoking cigarettes for years. I know my finger nails do not have a fungus. I know my big toe nails do have signs of a fungus. Can you tell me what causes the yellow discoloration in my finger nails and what, if anything, can I do to get them back to white again?
ANSWER: Dear Colleen,
From your information I have no idea what causes the yellow color but since you have fungus on your toenails I suggest that you consult a doctor who can examine your nails.
For now I suggest you apply Natural Nail Treatment from EzFlow to strengthen them but I think the doctors advice goes first.
Let me know if you have more specific info on how you treat your nails, what you apply to them etc. so I can search for an answer too.

QUESTION: I only wear nail polish when my nails get long which is only about a month at a time. When they break, I stop putting nail polish on until they get long again. My guess is that my nails get a yellow discoloration from nor being able to breath from the nail polish. What do you think?
AnswerHi Colleen,
It is possible that the discoloration is caused by not using a base coat underneath your normal polish color and another thing could be the from your kitchen. When you are dealing with curries and other coloring spices beinbg handled by the bare hands the nails can also get another color ( currie is yellow) So far my guesses I hope it will help you.
