Troubleshooting Nail Extension Lifting & Popping Off: A Salon Guide

Question
QUESTION: Ive recently decided to have a nail bar installed in  my salon, i hired someone who had done a home study course.
however most clients have experienced promblems such as the nails popping off, or lifting at sides and cuticles within a day or so.thats happening with both gel and acrylic ,as a result nobody is coming back for refills.
Can you please help and let me know whats causing the nails to do this, my main concern is the lifting.what can she do to avoid this.

thank you

ANSWER: hi mandy
im sorry to hear that you nail tech is having problems.
lifting and service breakdown is reasonably common with inexperienced nail techs.
if this is a general problem with the majority of the clients, it is most definately something to do with the product used or, more likely, the technique used.
home learn courses are sucessful for a number of people, however, the student doesnt get the 1 on 1 attention of their tutor.
the best step fprward now would be for your nail tech to go to a reputable tutor and have some follow up training.
lifting is something that can be easy to eliminate, but anything is only easy when you know how.
are you based in the uk, if so where abouts?
hopefully i can reccomend someone for you.
if you nail tech is a good team member, then she will be great when the penny drops with regard to more training.
let me know where you are
