Is Your Gold Real? Understanding Hallmarks & Brass Smell

Hi I wonder if you can help. I have 2 rings that have a stamp of 750 an 18k on them. They have no other marks on them and smell of brass. Do you think these may be fake gold or is there potential to be real gold.

Most people wouldn't think of that.
If it Smells like brass you have a 50/50 chance.
It could be Brass or it could be 14K that was with other jewelry that was brass. To be sure get it tested.
