Decoding Hallmark: Understanding Jewelry Markings - 14K ISREAL & EG

Hello Thomas,

Thank you in advance for your kind help. I bought a gold bracelet and on a cast part of the clasp is "14K ISREAL" and on the other side are the cast letters "EG" in script.
Do you have any idea what this means? I kind of think the "EG" might be someones initials but..... Thanks again.

Paul, yours is an easy one and that is good for me tonight! The answer is that the EG is most likely the makers mark.  The other shows the metal quality of 14 karat gold and the country of origin.

I believe you have no concerns about the bracelet. All appears as it should.
