Identifying & Appraising Vermont Peridot/Olivine: A Guide for Sellers
Question one piece of my stuff
QUESTION: I have some material that I can find little or no information about. I will be getting back in there for more. I just have no idea what this stone is worth. Or even how to go about selling it or trying to get it to artists. It is well recieved by about every one. As it is a bright and different green. What would you do if you were me?
ANSWER: Hello..
You must be wanting to promote it for jewelry and it may be interesting but it does not necessarily mean it will sell. It must get accepted aesthetically. I deal with Larimar a blue pectolite. It was found in 1974 and has taken this long to become fairly well accepted. I have never heard of this stone. Are you the first person to try to sell or promote it. If not how well have other designers or jewelers done.?
Perhaps the GIA would know more about it..?

Vermont Stone
QUESTION: I found it last year. Before I could get back up there it started to snow. There is 40 inches of snow where i found it. I am dying to get back in there as this is all that I have. That is why I am sounding like a nut and asking for advice. I have been a rockhound for 25+ years, I moved to NC to collect and then I find this when I was on a service call in Vermont.
