1914 German Wedding Band: History, Meaning & Value

I was told it says in german I traded gold for silver.It has 1914 engraved on it with the what I think is german writing. I haven't been able to find anyone at local flea markets or jewelry stores to have any knowledge about this ring or it's worth.I was told I believe that the lady who owned it was in a nazi camp & they exchanged this ring for her gold one. Hello Julie and thank you for your inquiry. It was the practice in Nazi Germany to exchange silver for gold in order to finance the war. It was also done in the concentration camps.
