Identify a Blue Gemstone: Aquamarine, Tourmaline, or Topaz?

Hello,
I have just received this beautiful ring. It was given to me by my fiance and it had belonged to his grandmother. She had the ring made over 40 years ago with this blue stone she had kept for a lot longer than that. We think it might be aquamarine, blue tourmaline, or blue topaz just from looking on the Internet. :) We have no idea what the clear stones are. We know they must be special because she kept them all those years and finally had a custom ring made right before she passed, which was over 40 years ago.

Yes you are right it could be any one of those stones, to know for sure you will have to have a gemologist test it for you. We have several here in our area. I am sure you have some in your area as well. Some jewelers have in house gemologists, call around. They could take a quick look and pretty much tell you what you have.
