Identifying and Appraising a Found Ring: Possible Egyptian Origin

Question
I found this ring while metal detecting in a lake.
Just trying to find any info on it. What the symbols mean?
I believe it is Egyptian in origin. Link to picture:

Answer
Hello Ross and thank you for your inquiry. What a beautiful ring ! Since this is 14K I would advise you to have it professionally appraised possibly by a jewelry appraiser that can give you some research information. They may be able to recognize some of the attributes of the ring. It does appear Egyptian in design but the arrows are usually associated with native american (in silver). I cannot read what is on the inside except for the 14K but could that inscription give a clue ? Could the locale of the lake be any help ? i.e. early settlers in the area. Researching jewelry is fascinating but can also be very frustrating. Use your local library for jewelry design books to search for something similar. Your local museum may be of some help to you in reading the symbols.  Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you but good luck in your research.
