Decoding 18K Gold Ring Markings: A Comprehensive Guide

Question
Hi
I dont know if you can help me but i recently aquired what i believe to be an 18k white gold ring. The hallmarks puzzle me though, first there is the letters AG and what looks like to be a sunshine with the top missing, then 0.10 (which i assume is the diamond weight) then 750 and finally what looks like to be a funny looking W and .46 or 4G!
The hallmarks do not resemble any british hallmarks that i have on my other rings.

Many thanks for taking the time to read this
Nikki

Answer
Hi Nikki, The AG is the manufacturer, 750 is the European designation for 18k gold or 750/1000 parts pure, The W is possibly Wales, but I am stumped on the .46 or 4G. Best bet is to take to a good jeweler/appraiser in your town and get the final say.
