Identifying Antique Rings: Unraveling Markings & History


Question
I have a poison ring with what looks like a mother of pearl stone on it and on the underside of the ring has what appears to be the initials HBP with a design around it, also in another area has the letter L with a stamp/engraving of a cup or possibly mug or bowl around the L. Could you tell me anything about this ring, I cant find anything about maker or anything.
