Understanding Diamond Clarity SI2 & IJ Color: What to Expect

I would like to know  if a diamond  rated S12 for clarity and IJ  means it will look grey to the eye.  Is it a decent rating? Thank you.

The clarity, SI2, and the color, IJ, are determined by folks with a trained eye. The fact that it may look grey to the eye is hard to say. Usually this grade of diamond will show no color and flaws would not be detectable to the naked eye. An SI2/IJ is one of the most typical grades of diamond sold. It is an average (decent?) rating. What is important is that it looks good to you.
