Identifying Your 1804 Gold Signet Ring: 'Sub Cruce Salus' & J.M. Maker
QuestionI have a gold signet ring, hallmarked "g" which relates to 1804, which has 2 wings on the front surface and a banner below them with the inscription "Sub Cruce Salus". It is 18 caret gold with the assay symbol of an anchor (Birmingham UK) and a manufacturing mark - J.M (with the dot in the middle of the letters rather than at the bottom). Can you give me any further information ? Thanks
