QuestionI was just curious to find out....my ex cheated on me, and then he married her only 3 months after the divorce was final. He has regrets, etc. and I could really care less. I just want to know if she is playing him- she is from Spain- and my ex told me the only reason he married her was so she could stay in the country.
So, my question- how long does she have to stay married to him until she can seek a divorce and still stay in the USA legally? I think this was her motive all along.

I'm not sure on how long a couple has to stay married (when on a visa in the US). I think it's at least one year, but I'm not positive, and it would vary from state to state. He could probably call his local circuit clerk of the court in his county, where he resides, or where he was married. And they should be able to give him an accurate answer.
