Question -
I am 22 years old and I was daginosed with endo when I was twenty. My question is....Does birth control make your stomach hurt I had to stop because of the stomach pain.Any  suggestions on what to do. Ihave tried every form of bith controlbut the only thing I have not tried is the IUD.

Answer -
Hi Darla,
Well, I've never heard that the BC  pill causes pain in the stomach. I was on the pill for years and it greatly helped my endo symptoms to the point where I had virtually no cramping or pain at all.
Maybe, since you have been diagnosed with endo recently, that your pain is associated with the endo? Have you talked to your doctor again? Endo is a really sneaky disease, in that it can move around in your body and cause pains that you never thought possible in areas.
But on the otherhand, if you read your side effects on your BC pills, it might mention stomach pain? BC effects every woman differently.
I'd really be interested to find out what is causing the pain...maybe pull up side effects of the BC on line to read whether stomach pains are associated these pills.
If you find anything out, let me know if you get a chance. Thanks and take care of yourself.

Answer
Wow, that's interesting. The reason I had to get off of the BC pills, was that I began to have migraines...I swear I had them straight for a year. And the BC wasn't helping me with them. Once I got the BC out of my system, my headaches stopped.
Your doctor might also consider a different kind of BC...sometimes, a woman has to try different kinds and strengths.
The BC should help no matter what with endo. Your Dr. needs to look at that, I'd certainly ask if he/she might consider different types. Good luck!
