Possible Miscarriage? Understanding Bleeding & Cramping After Cycle Start

Question
I am 27 years old, I have 2 healthy children, my tubes were tied 3 1/2 years ago. The first day of my last cycle was on April 29, 2004.
The first 2 days I had severe cramping, and clotting.  On the third day, it was normal, but ever since then, it has been black, and very light. I still have some bloating, and a little cramping.  Is it possible that I have had a miscarriage?  Or is this normal?  I have never had a cycle that has lasted more than 6 days, and I have never had light, black blood.  What is wrong with me?

Answer
As long as you had a period at the correct time and it  did not last for longer than 14 days, you did not have a miscarriage, especially since it is extremely unlikely for you to have become pregnant after a tubal ligation. The ccolor of the blood or the lightness of the flow does not indicate a miscarriage. Do not worry.
