Delayed Period, Heavy Bleeding & Back Pain: Possible Pregnancy or Other Cause?

Question
Hi. Hope you can clear my concern...
I am little concerened of this month's cycle. My period was 6 days late (I am 28day cycle and very regular), last period started 9/14 and was supposed to start on 10/12 but temperature was quite high(around 98.5) until the morning of 17th. It dropped to 97.39 and immediately after my period came. I had heavy back pain the past 2 days and the bleeding was also heavier than usual. Prior to 17th, I had several "pregnancy" symptom(I was hopeful, since I am never late), including yeast infection, fatigue, constipation and missed period. Last year I was diagnosed with low grade dysplasia but was told it is nothing to be concerned of.  I am wondering if I just miscarriage...  Or my cycle was at wack for this month?
Today is day 3 and bleeding is much lighter.

If so, what should I do and also when should I consult my doctor about this?

Thank you for your help in advance!

Answer
If you missed your period, you should take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure. If you have a regular cycle and your last period started on September 14, ovulation occurs on September 28. You could only have conceived if you had sex on Sepember 27,28,29, or 30. If you missed the period that was due on October 11-12, a pregnancy test should be taken seven days later (October 18). If it is negative then, you are not pregnant. The earliest signs or symptoms of pregnancy are fatigue, breast tenderness, and nausea. Yeast infection is not a sign of pregnancy, nor is constipation. If you miscarried, a pregnancy test still would show a positive result.
