Post-Clomid Withdrawal: Symptoms and Recovery - What to Expect

Question
I am 28, have 0 children, but have been pregnant once after taking clomid for one month, but lost the baby after approx. 9 weeks.  Approx. 6 monts later I began fertility drugs again clomid, estradol and the progesterol cream inserts.  I took those medications for three months, but then after no success, I decided to stop the treatment.  My last use of these drugs was the month of March, my last period began April 8th, and I have not began my new period.  I should have started on April 5th.  For the last week and a half I have been experiencing nausea, breast tenderness and being very tired.  My symptoms are moderatley similar to my last pregnancy symptoms, yet I have taken pregnancy tests which have been negative.  Is it possible that these symptoms are my body withdrawing off of the fertility meds?  Is there anything I should do?

Answer
If your last period started on April 8, you would have possibly ovulated around April 21. If you did conceive around that date, a pregancy test would not show a positive result until 14-21 days later. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after you miss your next period. You were due for your period on May 5. Therefore, the best time to take a pregnancy test would be on May 11. You took the test to early. If the pregnancy test is negative on May 11, you are not pregnant. The symptoms are not due to the fertility medications. They would have been out of your system a few weeks ago.
