Mucus Plug in Pregnancy: What to Expect

I am in my 35th week of pregnancy, and this is baby number two, i was wondering will I lose my mucus plug with this pregnancy? i dont remember losing it with the first.

Hello Shamika. The largest part of the plug is shed at about 8-10 cm of dilation and you are not really aware of it at the time. You may shed little bits of it as labor approaches. The total amount of material is about a half cup. All the best- Cheri.
