Mucus Plug Loss & Labor Signs at 36 Weeks: What to Expect

I am 36 wks pregnant with my first child and I lost all of my mucus plug on aug 4 ever since then ive been having braxton hixton contracts that feel like im on my period and im also discharging some fluid as well. I was wondering if this means that labor is around the corner even though im not due till sep 5????

It just means that your body is getting ready for labor.  Every woman's body works on its own timetable, so there's no telling exactly when it will happen.  But the contractions and the loss of your mucous plug show that you are making progress.  Be patient, and good luck!
