Answer
Hello,

This can very well be a completely normal pregnancy.  It looks like your last cycle could have been off a little.  If the sac is measuring 5 weeks and 3 days then it is normal not to see the baby yet.  My advice is to wait and get a repeat ultrasound in one week to see how the pregnancy is progressing.  Was this your very first ultrasound?   How does your doctor come to think the "baby" is not growing when there is no previous ultrasound to compare the growth?  To go strictly by your last period is calling it way too early in my opinion.  If you desire this pregnancy, do not abort and wait one week to get a repeat ultrasound.  If he/she refuses then leave and get a second opinion.  It is way to early with those findings on ultrasound to call anything.

Hope this helps some.  Best wishes.
