Mucus Plug Removal at 37 Weeks: What to Expect?

i am 37wks, 3 days, 80% effaced, and today my dr. removed my mucus plug to "help things along".
i was wondering if this is an effective method, will i be seeing my baby soon?
i am so anxious, im sure you hear this all the time. i guess im just looking for some good news, although i know theres no way of knowing, maybe you have some words of wisdom, and maybe i will feel more confident that it wont be long now...?

hi, she probably "stripped your membranes a bit" which is good, many people dont believe there is actually a plug..i certainly dont either.

your doing great!!!!
walk alot, drink lots of water, and having sex is a natural induction method!!!
have fun!
i couldnt tell you when you will go into labor, probably within two weeks i would guess..
