Irregular Periods & Possible Pregnancy: A Concerned Teen's Question

Question
I am 14, I don't have any children, and the date of the first day of my last menstrual period was 9/5/2004.
Hi!
My name is Mandy and I have a question that I am hoping you could help me with.  I did not get my "visit from Aunt Flo" in August and I barely got it in July, but I got it this month (September).  Lately, I have been getting sick out of no where and sometimes in the morning, my stomach hurts and I feel sick.  But the problem is, I haven't done IT before.  So I'm just confused.  I gained about 4 or 5 pounds, and I haven't eaten anything that's junkfood, and I have been excersising daily.  My question basically is, am I pregnant?  Is it possible to get pregnant without having done IT?  Please help me. I am very confused and scared. Thank you for your time.
~Mandy~

Answer
If you got your period on September 5, then you cannot be pregnant, especially since you have not had intercourse. If you have a regular 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #1 (counting the first day of bleeding as cycle day #1). You can only become pregnant if you have intercourse on cycle day 313, 14, 15, or 16. You cannot become pregnant on any other day of the month. It is very common to not ovulate until you are 21 years old. Some months you may ovulate and some months may be "anovulatory". When you do not ovulate, you do not get your period and you, therefore, miss a period from time to time. It will regulate in time. Don't worry.
