Prolonged Period: Causes, Menopause & What to Expect

hello
    i am a 49 year old woman and this is the 11th day i have had my period, i did stop on the 5th day then started back up on the 6th day, i am assuming i am going through menopause, could this be a sign it my last period? is it normal at my age? i feel great otherwise.

I don't know if this is your last period. Do you have fibroids that could cause you to bleed that much? Yes, you can have very irregular periods when going into menopause, but I can't tell you that, that's what that's from. I think you should call your doctor so they can do an assessment. Good luck!
