i have a 39 day cycle and my last period was on august 16th and my bf and i had sex on sept 10 wat are my chances of being pregnant and can u give me some info on the mornin after pill? Thanks
Answer -
If you had a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. You could, then, become pregnant if you have sex on cycle day #13, 14,15, or 16. However, it is a bit uncommon to have a 39 day cycle. You may or may not be ovulating. If you want to become pregnant, I would first go on birth control pills for around 6 months to regulate your cycle to 24-32 days (from the start of one to the start of the next) and then stop the pills and try to conceive. You can try using an ovulation predictor kit that you can purchase from the pharmacy to help pinpoint the exact day of ovulation (if you are ovulating). The morning after pill is merely a birth control pill that you take within 72 hours of having unprotected sex to prevent implantation of the fertilized egg. There are many different regimens (Plan B, Previn, etc). At the present time, you need a prescription to get the morning after pill. If it is past 72 hours from sex, it is too late to try the morning after pill.
is it possible to have a period and not ovualate? Also we had sex around 6:15 on friday but my health department is not untill monday so and i would go around 3:30 would that be to late to take the morning after pill?
Answer -
If you think you became pregnant on Friday at 6:15P.M., you have to take the first pill by 6:15P.M. seventy-two hours later (Monday by 6:15). It is possible to have a period and not ovulate. Usually, ovulation occurs fourteen days PRIOR TO the first day of your next period. If you always have a 39 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #25. Therefore, if your last period started on August 16 (cycle day #1) you could have become pretnant if you had sex on September 7,8,9, or 10. (If you were ovulating, that is).
does precum always contain sperm? and how often is it for a sum1 to have there period and not ovaulate? Also how long does it take for sprem to find the egg?
Answer -
A semen will enter the vagina during intercourse and the sperm will be filtered out of the semen by cervical mucus. The sperm will then travel up through the uterus to the fallopian tubes and on up the fallopian tube to meet and fertilize the egg. This can take a few minutes. Then the fertilized egg will travel down the tube to implant in the endometrium. This will take around 8 days. Therefore you usually become pregnant the same day that you have sex. However, since a sperm can live for 12-24 hours and an egg can remain viable for 24-48 hours, you can have intercourse on one day and get pregnant the next day.
but isnt it true that if a guy goes to the bathroom there will be less sperm in the precum? How common is it to get pregnant by it?
AnswerThe time of urination has no effect on the production and delivery of sperm to the tip of the penis. It is very common to become pregnant during the withdrawal method of birth control when the penis is withdrawn prior to ejaculation (hopefully) and the pre-cum is "milked" out of the penis while he tries to withdraw.
