QuestionThe first day of my last menstrual period was Tu. Apr. 4 and I had unprotected sex with two different partners - one on Sun. Apr. 16 & one on Mon. Apr. 17.
A few days following intercourse (and still now) I began experiencing unusually heaviy and continual dischare with vaginal odor and a constant but not painful pressure in my abdomen - almost like pre-menstrual cramps, though something just doesn't feel right.
My breasts were very tender and swollen last week, just like they always are just before my period, yet today is Sat. May 6 and I have not started menstruating.
What is more likely - pregnancy or an STD - and how soon should I test for either?
AnswerIf you have a normal 28 day cycle, you would have ovulated on cycle day #14 and could have conceived if you had sex on cycle day #13,14,15, or 16. If your last period started on Aopril 4, you could have coonceived if you had sex on April 16,17,18, or 19, ehich you did. There is no way to tell which guy is the father. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your next period. You were due for your peeriod on Mzay 1,so if you do not get your period by May 8 take a pregnancy test. If you have a foul smelling dishcarge and pressure in your vagina, I would suggest that you see your doctor to rule out STD.
