If you have a 32-35 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #18-21 each month. You, therefore, can conceive if you have sex on cycle day #17,18,19,20, 21, or 22. If you do not get your period when expected, wait an additional week and then take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure. Emergency contraception must be used within 72 hours of sex. The best are Previn or Plan B, although any birth control pills can be used. You must take two within 72 hours of sex and repeat that 12 hours later.
