Postpartum Diarrhea: Causes, Symptoms & When to See a Doctor

I had my baby on April 23rd.  Since then I have had diahrrea cramps and diahrrea no matter what I eat.  Is this my body just adjusting to normal?  This has been happening for almost 2 weeks.  I am not taking any kind of medication other than tylenol or motrin once in a while.  Any information or advice would be appreciated.

Diarrhea is not a usually complication of a vaginal delivery. If you have been having diarrhea for two weeks, you may have some GI virus or some problem with your intestines. You must go to a medical doctor (GI specialist) for evaluation. Until you get your appointment, make sure that you stay well hydrated (to replace any fluids you have lost with the diarrhea).
