QuestionI am 12 weeks pregnant, i went for my u/s. The baby is only measuring 6 weeks and she couldnt find a heartbeat. I just had blood taken yesterday for HCG level and it is 6000. The Dr. is expecting to hear a heartbeat on Friday, Iam not so sure, what do you think?

If this is your first ultrasound, it may simply be that you are off on dating - or at least your doctor is considering that as a possibility before giving up hope on the pregnancy.
One reason for this is probably that if you had lost the pregnancy 6 weeks prior, your hCG would not still be 6000 and you would likely have miscarried, or at least had some bleeding, by now. I'm a little surprised that another hCG 48 hours after this one wasn't ordered to see if it was doubling appropriately. That would also be an excellent indicator of whether the pregnancy was still viable.
See what happens on Friday. I think your doctor is simply giving your baby the benefit of the doubt. It's good to be mentally prepared for anything, but do not give up all hope quite yet if your doctor certainly hasn't.
