QuestionMy last period started on 22nd August 2007 and i had unprotected sex with my husband while still on my period on 24th,25th and 26th. I also had unprotected sex with him on 1st,2nd and 3rd of September 2007 but on either the 4th 5th or 6th of September my ex came round one thing led to another. He did penetrate but only for about 2mins he did not get to ejaculate or anything. Now i am pregnant the doctor said my due date is 28th may 2008. How likely is it that my husband is the father or the ex?
AnswerIf, in fact, you ovulated on the 14th day of your cycle (September 5th), there is less than a 20% chance that the baby is your ex's. However, even that much chance is questionable, because very few women ovulate on day 14. Unless your due date was confirmed using an ultrasound, you should not rely on that date of conception.
If you do get an ultrasound to confirm your dates, remember that you are fertile for up to 5 days prior to ovulation/conception, so any intercourse you had in that time frame would be a possible candidate.
